自分から答えておくと、イエス！ジャクソンは俺がこれまで見た中で最高の総合格闘家の一人だ。あの男にはなにもかもが揃ってるし、UFCの歴史の中でまさに最高だ。プライドにはより優れた戦士が少なからずいるが、UFCの中では文句無しのライトヘビー級王者だよ！チャックをやったのは予想通りだった。あの初戦は、一殴りでもなく、乱雑な振りほどきでもなく、ノックアウトでもなく、とにかくマグレではなかった。今夜ジャクソンは完全にあの男を制したうえで、片手間に倒した。チャックは早めの休戦を欲していた。だが試合後のインタビューで白状してたよ。そうすればするほどぐだぐだになって捕捉されまくりだったと！クイントン・ジャクソンは洒落た奴だ。素晴らしいユーモアのセンス。奴はチャックを見くびったりしなかった。そしていつも言ってる。日によってはどんな戦士だってより優れた戦士を倒すことができると。 〔To answer my own question, YES! Jackson is one of the best MMA fighters I've ever seen. The man has the total package, and is the best the UFC has seen in a long time. Pride does have a few better fighters, but in UFC Jackson could be Light HW champ for quite a while!!! I knew he would be able to take Chuck. The first fight wasn't a fluke with a 1 punch, wild swing, KO or anything like that. Jackson completely dominated the man, and he beat him handely tonight. As much as Chuck wanted to claim an early stoppage at first, he admitted in the post fight interview that he was sloppy and got caught! Quinton Jackson is a classy guy, great sense of humor. He never underestimated Chuck and has always said that any fighter can beat another better fighter if they are having a good day〕

そうは思わない。だが最高級の一人ではあろう。チャックが敗北したということをみんな受け入れられないのだと思う。彼は本当に長期にわたって連勝を重ねてきたし、今夜までわずか3試合しか負けたことがなかったのだから。ジャクソンは最高だし観てるとわくわくしてくる。チャックのファンであり続けている俺に言わせると、ジャクソンはもしかすると彼にとってのアキレス腱なのかもしれない。そう思う。 〔I don't think he is, but he is one of the best. I think it's hard for everyone to accept that Chuck lost because he has been on such a long win streak and because he had only lost 3 fights prior to tonight. UFCはボクシングと同じでカスどものスポーツだ。その暴力性でではない。それがボクシングの修正版だからだ。そこにあるのは乱れ飛ぶ大量の金と、大量の貪欲な連中。ダナ・ホワイトがUFCの表看板になっているのは、彼が清潔な印象を与えるからだ。だがUFCの所有者は彼ではない。UFCに深く潜った者はそこで汚い染みを得ることになる。そしてより深いところにまで潜ったならば、そこに悪辣な者達の姿を発掘することになるだろう。おそらくは組織犯罪の影までをも。UFCの膝元がネバダなのにはひとつの理由がある。ネバダ、ボクシングの首都、組織犯罪の世界的首都。つい先日にUFCはプライドを買収した。これにて我々はもしかするとヤクザどもやその他の力にすら言及していることになるのかもしれない。それは薄汚く、腐敗した、悪臭にまみれた、ボクシングに同じく禁止されるべき膿んだ商売なのだ。 〔UFC is a gutter trash sport like boxing, not because of the violence but because it is undoubtedly to a certain degree fixed like boxing. Everyone also knows how dirty that the Nevada Athletic commission is, and there is a reason that UFC's home is in Nevada, the boxing capitol and one of the organized crime captials of the world. Now that UFC purchased Pride, now we may even be talking about Yakuza scum and other influences. Its a filthy, rotten, stinking no good festering rot of a business that should be banned just like boxing.〕
