現時点で判断する限り、大成功作になるだろうと思ってるよ俺は。壮大なる音楽。凄まじいグラフィック。素晴らしき戦闘システム（予告映像で見る限り）。 〔So far, I think it's gonna be a hit. The music is spectacular. The graphics are great. The battle system, (as far as what I've seen in trailers) is amazing.〕
ストーリーについてはまだ何も知らないが、そこはまあ疑わしきは罰せずの理念でもって、FF7のそれに匹敵するものになるのではないかなと。 〔I don't know about the story plot yet, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that it's gonna be as good as FF 7's.〕

通常場面とムービーとの境界がほぼ無いうえに、戦闘場面なんてもう、FF7アドベントチルドレンのクラウドとセフィロスの戦闘シーンみたいな見栄えだった。 〔the cross over between gameplay and full motion cutscenes is almost unoticable and gameplay field fights look like the ones featured in FF7 Advent Children between cloud and sephiroth.〕

断片的に見ることはできるものの、そのシステムがどうなっているのかについては、現時点ではまだ推し量ることしかできない。ストーリーの如何によって大きく違ってくると思う。これまでのファイナルファンタジーとは違った方向性を持っているのだ。ハード（xBoxとPS3）の強みをリアルタイム型アクションに活用している。コマンド待機式戦闘システムを取り入れていた往時のファイナルファンタジー、そしてそれとは違った方向性を―すなわちリアルタイム式戦闘システムをもって現われたのがFF12であった。FF12は可能性たるものを秘めてはいるのだが、戦闘システムはコマンド式のままにしておくべきだったというのが私の見解だ。やったがどうしても気に入ることができなかった。モンスターを凝視しながら5秒間待機、みたいなね。FF13がそんな感じではないことを願う。更なる躍動とアクション性が期待されるところだ。大成功作なのかどうかは時のみぞ知る。そうであることを願うばかりだ。 〔so far we have no idea how the gameplay works though we saw it but never well explained. i think it really depends how the story works for it. this is a different approach for final fantasy. they use the advantage to the consoles (xbox and ps3) to bring the real time based action. Before final fantasy used to be wait and command your attack then the ff12 came in with a different approach. A real time battle system. In my opinion ff12 has the potential but they could have stick to command gameplay. I'd play the game and I didn't like it. It's like waiting for 5 seconds staring at the monster. i hope ff13 wouldn't be like that. Expected more movements and action. Only time will tell if ff13 will be a hit or not. But I hope it will.〕

見た限りではすんごいカッコよかったよ。できれば360でも出してほしいところだ。キャラクターから戦闘からグラフィックまでもう何もかもが素晴らしい感じだったね。 〔It looks really cool so far. Hopefully it will be released on the 360 as well. The characters, fights and graphics all look amazing.〕
