真相はというと、私2年前にフランスに行ったんだけど、フランス人のほとんどはすごくいい人たちだったし、礼儀正しかったよ。ほほ笑みかければほほ笑み返してくれる。私が置き忘れた上着を私に渡すだけのためにレストランを精算してきてくれた人までいた。一方で、あっちで出くわしたアメリカ人はみんな無礼だった。なんでだろうね。 〔The truth is, when I went to France two years ago, most of the French people there were very nice and curteous.
