んなこたない。青目の白猫飼ってたけど難聴なんかじゃなかったよ。ただ割合でいえば青目の白猫の難聴率は85%までいくけどね。以下コーネル猫健康機関からの引用。 〔Nope. I had a white cat with blue eyes who was not deaf. White cats with blue eyes do have an 85% chance of being deaf though. Below is a little clip form the correl feline health center:〕

いやそれは違うよ。青目や白毛、緑目なんかが他の型式の猫よりそうなりがちなのは事実だがね。猫の毛色と目色に関わる遺伝子は聴覚障害を起こす遺伝子と深く関係しとる。色覚障害とは関係しとらんのにな。 〔No they aren't, although it is more common for blue-eyed or white, green-eyed cat to be deaf than another type of cat. 圧倒的大多数がそうです。青い目の白猫は難聴の遺伝子を保有しているのです。両目が青の白猫よりも両目が緑か片目が青で片目が緑の白猫のほうが多く目に付くのはそれが理由です。難聴から身を守るための手段なんです。^_^ ただ正常に聴こえる青目の白猫というのも有り得なくはありません。ちょっと珍しいでしょうけどね。 〔The large majority are. 片目が緑で片目が青の白猫はもうほぼ難聴。両目とも青の白猫はかなりがそうだけど全部ってわけではなし。知ってる限りだと、緑目の白猫は普通の猫と大して変わんなかったはず。 〔White cats with one green and one blue eye are nearly always deaf.
