は、なにより検索エンジンポータルとして名高いヤフーの提供するサービスのひとつ―『ヤフー！知恵袋』の本家版―すなわちヤフー！アンサーズ(Yahoo! Answers)に投稿された、ブレードハンターナインティーフォー(BladeHunter94)という利用者による質問である。
その部門を『ペット』(Pets)直下の『ネコ』(Cats)へと定めたうえで2008年の12月14日に放たれたこの質問は、その投稿者の定め置いた題がそこに全てを述べる通り、ある猫〔ネコ〕の写真を添えたうえで、その猫の種類を教えてほしい―そんな依頼を提示した。

色が明るめじゃないってのはとりあえず置いとくと、ブリティッシュショートヘア風に見えるね。それと、耳が切り取られてるみたいだけど・・ ダメだよこれは。 =( 〔It sort of looks like a British Shorthair to me, although it isn't the right color. It also look like the ears are clipped.. that's mean. =(〕
